The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed that seven firefighters were involved in a near-fatal accident while responding to an emergency call on Sunday morning. The firefighters were aboard Fire Engine (FS 438) when the incident occurred, resulting in injuries to seven crew members.


According to Deputy Public Relations Officer for the GNFS, DOIII Desmond Ackah, the accident happened at approximately 09:08 hours, involving personnel from the service station in Kade, in the Eastern Region. The firefighters were rushed to St. Dominic's Hospital and Kade Government Hospital, where they are receiving medical attention.
